Youkoso!

Hi everyone, welcome to Munya Munya no Jikan!

皆様、むにゃむにゃの時間へようこそ!
Mina-sama, Munya Munya no Jikan he youkoso!

~Nyorochiku Onegaichimasu~

I call myself Ee-chan, (イーちゃん in katakana), and I love Japan! In particular I love the language, which I have been learning for about 2 years plus. I've met many Japanese people and Japan lovers along the way, learned a lot about their culture, consumed tons of pop culture, and enjoyed a lot of delicious Japanese foods. I figured that it's time to write about the interesting things I've seen, touched, smelled and experienced!

Some of you might recognize the name Ee-chan from Teru Terumii's blog and Facebook. I'm a friend of hers, and I've been enjoying the privilege of helping her do cosplay photoshoots and translating some of her facebook posts for the past year or so. In fact she was one of the reasons I started this blog, so thanks for that Terumi!

By the way, "munya munya" from the title of this blog means 'incomprehensible muttering', like the sort of mumbling you say when you're still chewing your dinner. I really liked how cute the word sounded, so it went straight to the title bar :D. As a whole, the title means, it's time to munya munya! (I really hope what I'm writing here doesn't sound like an incomprehensible munya munya though)
Since people on the internet like lists, I'm going to make a list of the things that I particularly like and will be writing about:

1. Japanese language:
There's just too many things I can share with you guys just on this topic. Learning the language was one of the best choices (other than photographing Terumi) I've made in the past few years.

2. Japanese stuffs:
Everything from translated articles from Japanese sites, to things I find here in Singapore.

3. Games:
I play a lot of games and board games (not necessarily Japanese ones) and I'm enthusiastic about gaming! This will be the only non-Japanese topic, I promise, but hey, everybody likes games, right? Right?

4. Japanese food:
Who doesn't like Japanese food?

5. Photography:
I'm by no means a pro photographer, my gear consists of only one body and one lens. Still I'm thinking that there may be some interesting things I can write about, maybe something like the omake to Terumi's shoots? :D

This next second list will be about things that I like but probably won't be talking about in this blog:
1. Manga (but not anime):
Because I can read manga on the bus but not watch anime hahaha. Maybe I'll write about some series that I like (the more obscure ones, since I'm quite sure you guys will be familiar with the popular ones).

2. Music:
I listen to Perfume, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Marchen (thanks to Terumi), and other Japanese music. We can discuss about these things, although I'm not really sure how to talk about music hahaha. It just sounds weird to me :"D.

3. 9gag:
Not really a topic per se, but I read memes and look at pictures of cute cats everyday and probably will be reposting some of the pics here.

Like this.

(although the pic is probably from some Japanese guy's twitter or something)

I wanna thank Vincent for letting me contribute to CutePop via this blog! It's really a great site about Japanese pop culture filled with the things I like, so hopefully my writing can be a good fit to the website >.<

So yeah, to everyone who stumbled their way here, thanks for reading! Talk to you again soon (after I decide on what to write next)!
